“you can’t tell people that they don’t have a right to their opinion.”

I want to break this down a bit...true anyone can have any opinion they want. But what we challenge is not the right to have an opinion, it is the veracity of that opinion. People can believe in the spaghetti monster if they want to or the tooth fairy or god, or science or anything else, but every opinion needs to be challenged otherwise there is no difference as you pointed out, between truth and baloney.

Great, well thought out post. Very few people will sit quietly and simply listen and digest before responding with an opinion that makes them comfortable. Little to none of what is actually going on IS comfortable, especially if it goes against what most of society has accepted as truth. As in “my opinion>your truth.
